Born in Euclid, Ohio, Marie has always been a creative soul. At an early age she began singing and loved to put on "shows" for family and friends. In junior and senior high school in Mentor, Ohio Marie was involved in drama club, band, and several choir's including the show choir The Mentor Top 25. It did not stop there...even though her college major was in accounting at Lakeland Community College Marie continue to perform in small parts in community musicals.
That all changed when she decided to switch majors and attend Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Combining her love of music and business, Marie continued her education as a communications major with specialization in audio production; learning audio editing in the age of cut and splice.
After college, Marie worked in both radio and television for 15 years for first at WHK AM in Cleveland, Ohio and then WOUB/WOUC AM, FM and TV in Athens, Ohio, gaining valuable experience in productions, promotions, operations, traffic and continuity, and even dabbling in voiceovers providing "coming up next" announcements for WOUB/WOUC PBS affiliate at Ohio University.
Due to some life changes, Marie left her position at WOUB/WOUC in 2002 and raised her children in her hometown of Mentor, Ohio, but her love for music and radio could not be contained. The Internet gave her new possibilities and she became a DJ for two different stations until creating her company Bella Vox Productions in 2010. Marie still resides in Mentor with her husband and three crazy cats. When she isn't in her home studio working on voice over projects Marie enjoys yoga, writing poetry, reading, movies, music, laughing, and loving life.
